On May 5, 2021, Dr. Takuma Melber, lecturer and coordinator of the master’s in Transcultural Studies, participated in an online evening discussion on "8. Mai 1945: Kriegsende? Deutsche, sowjetische und japanische Perspektiven auf das Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs." In his contributions, Dr. Melber introduced the perspective on the war’s end in the Asia-Pacific region in 1945 and the culture of remembrance in Japan. The event was part of the initiative "Villigst zuhause," organized by the BMBF-funded organization Evangelisches Studienwerk e.V. Villigst.
