On November 28, Prof. Barbara Mittler will give a talk on "Das Bild in meinem Auge. Die Genese des "chinesischen Traums" - China und Europa im langen 20. Jahrhundert". In this talk, Prof. Mittler will discuss the question, why Europe has been the role model for China to such an extent that the Chinese even deny their own culture. Why does this continue even now when China has already surpassed Europe economically, socially and culturally? Her talk is part of the Studium Generale's public lecture series "Europa - Realität und Vision" and will take place at the Aula of the New University at 7.30 pm.
