Max Stille received an EASAS Research Student Award for his paper, entitled "Communities of Code-switching Connoisseurs: Multilingualism in Islamic sermons in Bangladesh", which he submitted and presented at the 24th Conference on South Asian Studies in Warsaw, 27 to 30 July 2016. The European Association for South Asian Studies is offering awards linked to its biennial conference to encourage young scholars working in the field of South Asian Studies. The awards were granted for the most outstanding papers by currently registered research students who presented at Warsaw.
