Six doctoral students were selected for the Double Doctoral Degree Program in Asian and Transcultural Studies at Heidelberg University and the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Two of the candidates chosen by the selection committee finished their M.A. in Transcultural Studies in Heidelberg at the HCTS: Tayebe Naderabadi (“Simultanous existences: Persiante art in the quanderies of the global ‘modern’") and Ilyasova Zumrad (“Textiles on medieval wall painting of Central Asia: Problematics of transcultural exchange on the crossway of the Silk Road”).
