Two internships at the United Nations Office in Geneva are open for graduate students specializing in a field related to the work of the United Nations. They are intended to provide a better understanding of and insight into international affairs.
Internships at the United Nations Office at Geneva Library provide the opportunity to work in a range of library and archives related fields, to gain exposure to a variety of careers in the United Nations system and to provide a better understanding of and insights into international affairs. Projects will be defined prior to commencing the internship and can include the development of research tools, archival and records management activities, digitization projects, the development of education and communication activities, or other projects.
Interns will be required to work full time on the duties assigned to them, and to complete an evaluation questionnaire for the UNOG at the end of their stay. Interns will be funded by the Cluster of Excellence, and will be granted leave for a period of three months.
A shortlist of the four most promising applications will be forwarded to the Human Resources Management Service of the UNOG, where the final selection of two interns will be made. Applications must include a covering letter, the completed internship application form, copies of university degrees and abstracts of academic papers.
